![]() ![]() QuWAN enables enterprises to automatically build multi-site virtual private networks and simplify network topology implementation. The SD-WAN solution integrates QuWAN Orchestrator that is the cloud-centric SD-WAN management platform, and QuWAN vRouter that virtually simulates the functions of a routing device. This method requires SSH access to your NAS, but this allows you to cut&paste the output (back to this message thread) if it fails.QuWAN is a comprehensive software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) solution that is compatible with several QNAP networking products and hypervisor platforms. I would recommend following QNAPedia article: Manually Updating Firmware instead. It simply says " Update failed", which isn't very helpful. Unfortunately the WebUI Firmware Upgrade method provides no troubleshooting information for you as to " why" it failed. I am not sure what the problem is really, could it be a hardware issue? I chose manual installation and then chose the firmware image file and again it started uploading the file to the server, but once uploading was finished, I got the same error (update failed) except this time it also asked me to check the firmware version. So, I accessed the admin page by typing the IP address of the server (192.168.100.254) which got me to the first page where you must initialize the sever. It uploaded the image file to the server (I can tell by looking at the status) but when it finished uploading and started to update, it stopped and I got a message saying the Update failed, try updating firmware through web browser admin page. Well, I downloaded the latest firmware image file. I connected the server directly to the PC to try to update the firmware, I thought that might fix the problem. Have you read the Connecting to NAS by Web Browser section of the fine manual?.What happens when you SSH to 192.168.100.5 as " admin"?.What happens when you open in your Web Browser?.What operating system is installed on your PC?.Is your NAS configured to pickup it's IP address via DHCP? (This is the default setting). Please help me to understand what is it I am doing wrong here, When I y=try to do a cloud configuration and input the serial number on the server, I get a response on the web page saying device not found. Qnap Server IP Address 192.168.100.5 (while the IP address that appears briefly in Qfinder is 169.254.100.100) Using an application to identify the devices connected to the network and obtain their IP adfdresses i was able to get the following information: However, it behaved in the same manner, the device was still not found on the network. I have tried some suggestion from another section of the forum, where I disconnected the HDDs and started the server to see if it can be detected without any HDDs installed. If I attempt to refresh to scan for the server again, I get the same earlier response of No server found on the network. When I attempt to Configure the server using the configuration wizard, I can see the green progress bar building up slowly, but halfway or so throught it just stops and the bar disappears and server also disappears from Qfinder. When I start Qfinder and then turn on the server, it appears briefly on the Qfinder screen, But no action is possible (I can not configure the server nor access it in any way). When I start Qfinder utility, I get a message saying No server was found on the network and asks me to disable my windows firewall (which is already disabled). My PC is already connected to the WIFI router also by LAN connection. installed two 4 TB WD black HDDs, Connected the server to my WIFI Router through LAN connection.
